Wooden Carved Large Kauri Toki with Greenstone / Pounamu on Stand
This wooden carved Toki on stand makes a great gift for a 21st birthday or that special celebration or milestone in life.
The Toki (Adze) is a symbol of strength, determination, and courage in times of adversity. The shape represents a tool often?used by Maori for carving, shaping, and weaponry and was originally used for practical purposes.
This piece is a beautiful example of the Maori Greenstone Adze, or Toki Pou Tangata. The Maori Adze was primarily used as a large chisel, but was also used in war.
Proudly made in New Zealand from Kauri wood. There are always very slight differences in colours and carvings of hand carved products.
To avoid offending any Iwi or tribal groups, the designs are generic and representative of common Maori motifs.
Engraving on the front of the base stand can be done with a Golden Plaque.
