Description
Large Carved Tiki or Hei-Tiki on Base with Paua Shell Eyes Inlay
This large carved Tiki or Hei-Tiki on stand makes a great gift for a 21st birthday or that special celebration or milestone in life.
Tiki has a variety of meanings according to different tribes. One of the most common mythologies of Tiki is that he was the first man on earth created by a god called Tumatauenga, one of the sons of Father sky and Mother earth.
Hei-Tiki means hanging tiki, and many people wear these or have them on their wall.
Proudly made in New Zealand from Kauri wood. There are always very slight differences in colours and carvings of hand carved products.
To avoid offending any Iwi or tribal groups, the designs are generic and representative of common Maori motifs.
Engraving on the front of the base stand can be done either with a Golden Plaque or Laser Engraved.
